This version has a sweet tomato based sauce with lots of meat ingredients such as ground pork, luncheon meat, and hotdogs. It is often served during kid's birthday parties along with some yummy fried chicken and cake.

Ingredients of AMIEs "PINOY" Spaghetti SAUCE

  1. Prepare 900 grams of pasta spaghetti.
  2. It's 1 of big bottle ketchup (catsup).
  3. You need 1 of big can tomatoe sauce (4 cups).
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of tomatoe paste.
  5. You need 700 1/2 grams of ground meat (pork or beef).
  6. You need 4 of pieces hotdogs, diced.
  7. Prepare 1 medium of sized onion, sliced.
  8. You need 1 tsp of garlic, minced.
  9. It's 2 tbsp of salt.
  10. It's 2 tbsp of brown sugar.
  11. Prepare 1 tsp of fresh ground black pepper.
  12. You need 1 liter of water.
  13. You need 3 tbsp of cooking oil.
  14. Prepare 2 medium of sized carrots, finely sliced.
  15. Prepare 2 can of liver spread (small size).
  16. You need 1 of cheddar cheese.

But then take that sauce, load it up with cut-up hot dogs, and then simmer that in a sweetened tomato sauce. If there is a non-Filipono dish that I couldn't live without, it would be spaghetti. I just love spaghetti, I could eat it everyday. I have created a recipe to make make spaghetti more Pinoy style, which is a sweeter than the usual marinara sauce that Italians and Caucasians make.

AMIEs "PINOY" Spaghetti SAUCE step by step

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a boiling salted water according to package time..
  2. In a separate pan, saute the garlic and onions for 2 minutes. Add carrots. Cook for a few minutes..
  3. Put in the meat and cook for 5 minutes. Add liver spreads and cook for 2 minutes..
  4. Pour in the tomatoe sauce, catsup, tomatoe paste and water then let it boil and simmer for 30 minutes in a low-medium heat..
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Add sugar and hotdogs. Mix thoroughly until well blended. Cook for another 5 minutes..
  6. Arrange the spaghetti pasta in an individual plate or in a large serving bowl. Pour in the sauce over the spaghetti and top with cheese..
  7. Serve hot!!!.
  8. NOTE: You can use SPICY catsup, if desired..

This spaghetti looks like your ordinary spaghetti but this dish taste like the spaghetti in fastfood joints, saucy, slightly sweet and geared to Filipino taste. There is a saying that don't judge a book by it's cover like this spaghetti that looks ordinary but the taste is superb. And with regard to the Italian seasoning. Strain spaghetti and toss in the sauce. Transfer on a serving plate, top with cheese and serve.
